This wont work on my pentium 3 system. I use a DELL optiplex GX1 (love it!) as my gateway/bridge and it has a p3 1.1GHZ and It wont show temp...

anyone know an app that runs on older machines? I mean I used to have apps that ran on my AMD 486, why wouldnt there be one for a p3?

It is not always a software thing. The motherboard has to have temperature sensors built-in and not all do -- especially the older ones.

One way you might be able to verify is if you boot up into the bios setup and see if it reports temperature anywhere.
